WHAT is the most effective marshal arts.?

i need to know what the best marshal arts for disarming weapons, and dealing with the average attacker, something that can handle any situation , having to be the one to take them down with defense or by being the one to take action first, something with good fighting tactics but great with disarming and taking people down, i here something called Alkido or something is good?
