Help pursuing my dreams?

Well one thing you should do is keep playing in this band, practice and practice. The best musicians didn't get were they are from not getting better. If you feel there are areas in that you need get better then work on it, can you play any instrument. Like guitar or piano, try even if you don't learning guitar, just in case you get to a point were you can't keep a band together cause no has that same passion like you (I know what its like) but you still have the joy and passion, you learned to play guitar. Try going solo if that happens, I tried getting into bands but no one keep them going so now Im more of a solo musicians. Also keep writing your own stuff, if you don't then start, you are 14 Im sure you have lots of things as a kid or teen others can relate. Also when you write stuff use some of these little things to help make decent songs, put hooks in your songs (lyrical or musical) that's the part of a song you want help people remembering the song. So for a lyrical hook, its usually a line in the song you'd remember and a musical is like a guitar riff. Im sure you know the band Simple Plan, and the I'd Do Anything. I think one way you remember that song is that little riff at the start. Anyways just keep practicing and get yourself out there. But take your time, your still in school so don't follow some musician and drop out. Music may be your passion, but you still need a backup and also it won't always pay the bills.
